Chairs with skids
The skids add strength and stability to dining chairs that were originally designed to hold the weight of a person, but not necessarily designed to be moved whilst a person is actually seated within them. Once skids are added they form a rigid box style construction to dinging chairs which can withstand being repeatedly pushed under & pulled from dining tables with occupants seated within them. As well as strengthening dining chairs, due to the creation of a larger, flatter surface area and a more even weight distribution the skids also aid the movement of chairs across the floor. This principle is the same no matter what your floor type but is particularly enhanced on carpet styled flooring.
Arms
In some environments arms on dining chairs are essential for their occupants. They play an important role in helping them to retain their mobility and function in the same way that they always have. Most of our chairs are available with or without arms depending on your needs. This option is particularly useful if you wish to have complimenting chairs throughout, but have a mixed client base who require different levels of care.
