We get many enquiries from mixed environments some of which are not specifically from a health care back ground. The new addition will allow us to focus specific health care specialist products on our existing website but also allow us to offer additional contract specific products for other areas and non-health care environments.

The team at Furniture For… regularly keep up to date with the news regarding nursing and care homes and dementia care. We have noticed recently that news reports are painting a gloomy picture for care in the future in terms of reduced funding and increased numbers of the elderly requiring care. However, Furniture For… remains as optimistic as ever that care in nursing homes can be of an optimum level and allow residents, partiularly dementia sufferers to feel comfortable, safe, clean and happy in their nursing or care home environment. We have a considerable amount of experience in different care settings that we draw upon for each and every project, be it small or large, and are constantly looking to widen our knowledge and increase our products available to suit you.

Nessfield Care Home Furniture Update!

Furniture For… would like to update you on our biggest project, the Nessfield Care Home in Middlesbrough. This residential home, which provides care for dementia sufferers, has undergone an extensive reburishment to modernise the decor and provide a comfortable, safe and hygienic home for its residents. Furniture For… have spent the last few months sourcing and providing the home with everything including carpets, wallpaper, curtains, lounge chairs, dining furniture and bedroom sets. Final changes will be completed by the end of this month. We wish Nessfield Care Home all the best in achieving the accreditation they are aiming for from the Stirling University.

Furniture For… is currently putting together a new catalogue of products specifically for care homes. Furthermore, this is being carefully designed so it is a particularly user friendly tool to browse!

The catalogue will be organised so you can look for products by style or by catagory. Therefore if you know you want dining furniture, bedroom furniture, lounge chairs etc then you will be able to browse through all the different styles that we offer. However, if you know you’re wanting some new products for a dementia care setting, but you’re not sure what exactly, you can browse through this catagory as a general overview and see what prducts we supply.

Queen Anne styled chairs or armchairs are the most popular choice of chair for the care home or nursing home environment.
